DYS Runs Solely on the Efforts
of Our Participants' Families & Community Volunteers

Please see below on how you can help out!

Coaching

Get your soccer on and help bring enthusiasm and fun to each training session/game! No experience necessary for Intramurals, but a MYSA Coaching License of E or above is suggested for all  for Travel Coaches. DYS reinburses all Licenses fees to coaches for the completion of any MYSA coaching licenses coarse.

If you are interested in coaching, email the Intramural (K-4) or Travel (5-12) Directors

Team Parent Volunteer/Manager

Help organize healthy water break snacks, end of the season events or help out with a travel team and its unique needs. Whatever your talents, coaches & age group coordinators can not do it all and will welcome the help!

To volunteer, please contact your team coach or age group director/coordinator directly for how you can help.

Committee Volunteer

There are many decisions and efforts that are made throughout the year by hard working, beyond the field, volunteers who help shape DYS policies, program dynamics and community support efforts. New volunteers bring welcome fresh ideas, perspectives and individual talents to our organization.

Please check our committee descriptions for how you can become more involved.

Tournament Volunteer

DYS successfully hosts two major tournaments every year and volunteer participation is a must to make them a success! Directing parking, working concessions and folding retail are just a few of the ways we need your help to keep teams coming back year after year and loving every minute of it!
To Volunteer please contact your Age Group Director or respond directly to volunteer email
requests sent out prior to each tournament weekend. -Thank You-

Danvers Invitational Tournament
(DIT)

We have been successful in eliminating the need for our players to do any in-town fundraising by hosting a very successful Memorial Day tournament for the past 28 years.

This tournament funds the continued maintenance and development of our community efforts (4 annual high school scholarships),DOC, player training programs and in conjunction with the parks dept., the town soccer fields.

The funds have been used in the past several years on projects such Gates Soccer field and parking, Smith School fields, the YMCA field, Essex Aggie fields, the Connector Road, the Senior Center, Friends of Danvers Recreation, and the High School’s Project Graduation program.

Our tournament does take a tremendous amount of effort and brings approximately 200 soccer teams to Danvers for the Memorial 3-day weekend in May. The tournament also benefits the community by bringing business to local hotels, restaurants, stores, malls, and other establishments.

Danvers Saluting Soldiers Festival

U8/U10
Teams Only
This tournament takes place each November on one field site on Veterans Day Weekend. Unlike the DIT, This is NOT a fundraiser for Danvers Youth Soccer.

Net proceeds are donated to OPERATION TROOP SUPPORT, which provides comfort, and support to our active troops in Iraq/Afghanistan, to our wounded troops at 6 military hospitals across the world, and to their families here at home.

If you have never been to this tournament, it is something special and with the same towns and Veteran Organizations coming back year after year it is a great family oriented experience for all involved.

Thank You for Volunteering
